  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 1 jar (26 ounces) pasta sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook manicotti shells for 8 to 10 minutes until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, egg, and basil until well mixed.
  4. Fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  5. Spread half of the pasta sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells on top and cover with remaining sauce; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
