  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream

  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 810 slices of white bread

Instructions

  1. Wash, hull, and dry the strawberries thoroughly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip the softened cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  3. Add heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar; whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the lemon zest.
  5. Spread the cream mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  6. Layer sliced strawberries on half of the bread slices and top with more cream mixture.
  7. Place another slice of bread on top and gently press down.
  8. Score diagonally to mark cutting lines and wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  10. Cut off crusts, then slice along the scored line.
