  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 11/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/21 tablespoon 2% or skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 11/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 11/2 cups fresh strawberries, diced into 1/4-in cubes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop small portions of dough onto it.
  7. Bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly golden at edges; cool completely on wire rack.
  8. For frosting, beat softened cream cheese and butter until smooth, then gradually mix in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
  9. Once cookies are cool, spread frosting on each cookie and top with fresh blueberries and diced strawberries.
