  • 1 1/2 lb baby potatoes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped green onion (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, white vinegar, honey, minced garlic, water, and sesame oil to create the braising liquid.
  2. Boil a large pot of water mixed with a splash of vinegar. Add the baby potatoes and cook for 12-15 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cooked potatoes and pan-fry until golden brown (about 4 minutes).
  4. Pour the prepared braising liquid over the fried potatoes and simmer for about 5-6 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion before serving warm.
