Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole-rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 35 caramel squares
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add flour, oats, baking soda, and salt; mix until combined.
  3. Spread half of the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, combine caramel squares and heavy cream; heat until melted and smooth.
  5. Remove baked base from the oven, sprinkle with chocolate chips, then pour warm caramel over it. Crumble remaining oat mixture on top.
  6. Bake for an additional 15-18 minutes until edges are browned and center is bubbling slightly. Let cool completely before slicing.
