  • 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pound French bread (diced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until mixed; scatter this in the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, and salt until well combined.
  4. Add the diced French bread to the egg mixture and gently toss to coat each piece.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the casserole dish, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned on top.
