  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar (plus extra for rolling)
  • 1/4 cup Full Flavor Molasses
  • 1 Large Egg

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cloves, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine vegetable oil and granulated sugar with a mixer until blended. Add molasses and egg; mix well.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture on low speed until just combined.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Form one-inch dough balls and roll in granulated sugar before placing them two inches apart on the sheets.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until puffy; cool on racks.
