  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1/2 large red onion
  • 4 T butter
  • 1/21 tsp. dried thyme
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Cut cabbage into bite-sized chunks, slice sausage into 3/4-inch pieces, cut onion into thick slivers, and slice carrots thinly.
  3. Lay out four double sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil, spraying each with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Layer cabbage, carrots, onions equally on each sheet; season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  5. Top each portion with butter and sliced sausage.
  6. Wrap the packets tightly to seal in moisture.
  7. Cook on the grill for 20-25 minutes or in the oven for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through.
