  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 44 Whoppers (for decoration)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for decoration)
  • 1 small tube white cake decorating gel

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg and peanut butter to the butter mixture; mix until fully combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and roll in sugar before placing on the sheet.
  7. Bake for about 8 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges. Allow cooling slightly.
  8. Melt chocolate chips and dip segments into melted chocolate to create spider legs on each cookie.
  9. Place a Whopper on top using extra melted chocolate as glue for eyes; add eyes using decorating gel.
