  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter with granulated and brown sugar until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top, then cover with remaining brownie batter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Serve warm.
