Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter (for searing)
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente (about 10-11 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; sear for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat and melt butter; sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and milk, whisking in cream cheese until smooth. Stir in Velveeta and mozzarella until melted.
  4. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce until well-coated; adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  5. Serve by plating cheesy bowties alongside sliced Cajun chicken and garnish as desired.
