  • 1 cup warm whole milk

  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp cold unsalted butter
  • 7 oz cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Mix warm milk with yeast and let sit until foamy. Combine with dry ingredients and knead until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare a cold butter block and laminate the dough through rolling and folding three times with chilling in between.
  4. Roll out the dough, cut into squares, fill with cream cheese mixture, shape as desired, and proof.
  5. Bake at 390°F for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool and drizzle glaze before serving.
