  • 3 lb chuck roast (trimmed if needed)
  • 2 tbsp steak seasoning
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • optional: 2 lbs potatoes
  • optional: 1 lb carrots
  • optional: 1 yellow onion

Instructions

  2. Sear the roast in a hot skillet until browned on all sides, then transfer to the slow cooker.
