  • 1 package kataifi dough (shredded phyllo)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, crumbled feta, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, oregano, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. On a clean surface, separate kataifi dough into strands and brush melted butter onto a baking sheet. Form small nests by wrapping the dough around your fingers or using a muffin tin for support.
  4. Fill each nest with about one tablespoon of the spinach-feta mixture without overfilling.
  5. Place filled nests on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with remaining melted butter. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
