  • 500g chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 200g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden (5-7 minutes). Remove from pan.
  3. In the same pan, stir-fry onion and garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add broccoli and mushrooms; cook until tender-crisp (3-4 minutes).
  4. Return chicken to the pan; add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and optional chili flakes. Mix well.
  5. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch slurry; cook until bubbly.
  6. Serve hot over steamed rice.
