2 Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
Pat the tuna steaks dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Sear the tuna steaks for 1-2 minutes per side for rare or 2-3 minutes for medium-rare.
Remove the tuna from the skillet and set aside. Reduce heat to medium-low and melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
Stir in parsley and lemon juice, then return tuna steaks to the skillet, spooning sauce over them before serving immediately.
